De jour Designs is hosting Marian's second Art & Craft Expo

on Saturday 8th May 9 - 5 pm 2010.

Featuring our first ever "Quilt Off" competition.

The Quilt Off competition -

 THE QUILT OFF - 4 teams from various locations within the Mackay region consisting of 2 people to complete a main inner panel piece to required size.  Teams can only pre wash materials, not cut them.  All equipment must be supplied by teams.  Teams will be judged on originality of design, technique, quality etc.  First Prize $150 cash, a trophy and minor prizes.  Team keeps the finished item.

Come and challenge our own Valley Vixens for the prize.

Entry is only $20 per team with free lunch, tea & coffee for team members.

A large variety of new exhibitors will be attending this year along with some popular regulars.  Patchwork fabrics, quilting supplies, kits and fabric dying, hand made buttons, wood work demonstration, heat sublimation demonstration and sales, paper tole demonstration, local painting and drawing, alternative art and picture frames, and much much more.

Bring the whole family for fun and relaxation, or participate in a free class or demonstration.  Most exhibitors will make to order that special piece you have been looking for or just cannot resist to take home.

Light refreshments are available with limited tables available to sit and soak up the atmosphere.

Entry - $5 p.p, seniors $4, children u6 free, Family $18 (2 adults, 2 children)
